Rutger Goudswaard

Rutger Goudswaard is part of the Corporate M&A team and specialises in corporate law. He advises national and international (non)listed companies on a wide range of corporate law matters, including corporate governance, ESG, accounting law, mergers, and acquisitions. Previously, he worked in the Financial Law team. In 2023-2024, he worked at NautaDutilh's New York office.
Rutger studied at Utrecht University and Queen Mary, University of London, before obtaining an LL.M. in Business Law from Radboud University Nijmegen in 2017. He joined NautaDutilh in 2018 and is admitted to the Netherlands Bar.
Rutger has registered 'corporate law' as his principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister). Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in this principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
