He co-leads the energy sector team and is an active member of the Sustainable Business & Climate Change team. He specialises in transactions and litigation involving public procurement and public contracts, such as concessions and public private partnerships.
Jens is also a member of NautaDutilh’s Benelux Corporate Crime and Corporate Investigations team. Leveraging his extensive expertise in public law, he provides strategic guidance to multinational corporations facing complex environmental issues that are increasingly subject to criminal prosecution. Jens also has extensive experience in arbitration and litigation before the Council of State, the Constitutional Court and other courts and tribunals. He is the author of various publications on selected topics of administrative and constitutional law.
He has a particular focus on sustainability and ESG and assists clients to be ahead of the curve in terms of regulatory change. He has extensive experience in all aspects of energy regulation at EU, national and regional level, from fossil fuels and electricity to nuclear and renewables (heat grids, hydrogen, geothermal, wind and solar).

Qualifications
Jens received his law degree magna cum laude from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in 2005. He was admitted to the Brussels Bar and joined NautaDutilh that same year. He rejoined NautaDutilh in 2019 after five years at a boutique law firm specialising in public law.
