With NautaDutilh's assistance, Vinted, Europe's largest second-hand fashion marketplace, has acquired the Dutch industry peer United Wardrobe. The second-hand fashion market is rapidly growing, with more and more consumers becoming aware of the severe adverse impact of fast fashion on the world's environment.

Vinted operates across 12 markets globally and completed a Series E funding round in November 2019, bringing its valuation to more than one billion euros. With this acquisition, Vinted becomes the largest second-hand fashion platform in the Netherlands and wants to expand to new markets even faster. The two platforms will gradually be integrated and users of United Wardrobe will be able to transfer their account as of today.

NautaDutilh's team consisted of Ruud Smits, Marieke Pols and Eva van Rooijen (Corporate M&A), Wijnand Bossenbroek, Daan Hagelstein and Marloes van der Laan (Corporate Notarial), Nico Blom and Nina Kielman (Tax), Albert van der Kolk and Burcu Yapici (Data Protection), Gijs van Nes and Daniel Kuiper (Employment) and Christine Vreede (Dispute Resolution).
