We advised ABN AMRO Bank N.V. on the custody of tokenised securities and the safekeeping of the public/private keys giving access to these securities.

ABN AMRO is amongst others working on issuances by clients of digital bonds in both the Netherlands and Germany. With the recent issuance of Dutch law governed tokenised bonds by one of its clients, ABN AMRO became the first bank in Europe to register a digital bond for a Midcorp client on the public blockchain.

The entire process of preparing, placing and documenting these securities is digital. Ownership of the securities is recorded on the blockchain in the form of tokens. Access to the tokenized securities requires public/private keys, with a wallet being used to hold an investor's unique keys. Read more information about the process on ABN AMRO's website.

It was a great pleasure to once again be able to advise our client ABN AMRO on an innovative and ground-breaking digital solution.
