The Advisory Committee advises the Government and both chambers of Dutch Parliament on legislation in the field of Dutch civil procedural law. The Advisory Committee consists of members of the Dutch Supreme Court, judges, practicing lawyers and academics. Kasper has been appointed in view of his expertise and practical experience in the field of international litigation and arbitration, as well as attachment and enforcement law.
“I am excited to join this prestigious committee”, Kasper says, and adds “I look forward to contributing to future legislation, particularly on cross-border disputes and enforcement. A topic that the Advisory Committee currently has under review is revision of Article 431 (2) DCCP, which deals with recognition and enforcement of foreign court judgments absent an applicable treaty of international regulation. Such legislation is key for effective resolution of international disputes in the future, and therefore also highly relevant for our international disputes practice at NautaDutilh.”
